Who are we?
manningformula.com is a non-profit organization. The purpose of the site is to enable open channel hydraulic calculations to be made more practically. Water velocity and discharge are calculated by entering the necessary inputs for the Manning Equation on the site. A trapezoidal section with different slopes can be defined on the site for right and left banks. Calculations can be made in meters or feet units.
Additionally, Froude number, shear stress, freeboard and total discharge with freeboard are calculated. The shape of the channel can be seen in the lower right part of the site. This figure can be saved to your computer in .png format.
